1. About Dakotas Western Tack

Dakotas Western Tack is an online retailer providing equestrian tack, horse gear, Western riding products and related goods.

Our aim is simple: to make good-quality tack and gear affordable for the average rider.

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel orders where there is a legitimate reason to do so, including suspected fraud, incorrect pricing or stock information, or other circumstances affecting our ability to fulfil the order.

3. Products and Product Information

We make every reasonable effort to ensure that product descriptions, photographs, colours, measurements and other information displayed on our website are accurate.

However, colours may appear slightly different depending on your device or screen settings.

Certain products may be handmade, handwoven or individually produced. As a result, minor variations in colour, pattern, texture, measurements or finish may occur. These natural variations are not necessarily defects.

It is the customer's responsibility to check product specifications, sizing information and suitability before purchasing.

If you are unsure about sizing or product suitability, please contact us before placing your order.

4. Prices

All prices displayed on our website are in South African Rand (ZAR) unless otherwise stated.

We reserve the right to change prices at any time. Price changes will not affect orders that have already been accepted and paid for, except where required by law.

We make every effort to ensure that prices are displayed correctly. If an obvious pricing error occurs, we may contact you before processing the order to confirm whether you would like to proceed at the correct price.

5. Orders

When you place an order through our website, you are making an offer to purchase the products selected.

An order is considered accepted once payment has been received and the order has been confirmed by us.

We reserve the right to cancel an order where:

• The product is unavailable.

• There has been an obvious pricing or product description error.

• Payment has not been successfully received.

• We reasonably suspect fraudulent or unauthorised activity.

• Circumstances beyond our reasonable control prevent us from fulfilling the order.

If we cancel an order after payment has been received, we will arrange an appropriate refund.

6. Payment

Payment must be received and successfully cleared before an order is processed, unless otherwise agreed by us.

For manual EFT payments, please use your order number as your payment reference and send proof of payment to:

Orders will only be processed once payment has been received and cleared.

7. Pre-Orders

Some products may be offered on a pre-order basis.

Pre-order products are ordered specifically for customers and may have longer fulfilment times than items currently in stock.

The estimated shipping timeframe for our pre-order products is generally 4–6 weeks, unless otherwise stated on the product page.

Pre-order dates are estimates and may be affected by supplier availability, manufacturing, shipping delays or other circumstances outside our control.

By placing a pre-order, you acknowledge and accept the applicable estimated fulfilment timeframe.

8. Shipping and Delivery

We aim to dispatch orders within the timeframe stated on the relevant product or shipping information.

Delivery times are estimates and may vary depending on the courier, destination, public holidays, weather, unforeseen delays and other circumstances outside our control.

Once an order has been handed to the courier, delivery is subject to the courier's terms and delivery schedules.

Customers are responsible for providing a correct and complete delivery address and contact details.

Additional delivery charges may apply if an order needs to be redirected due to incorrect information supplied by the customer.

• Checking tack and equipment before use.

• Ensuring equipment is correctly fitted and adjusted.

• Regularly inspecting equipment for signs of wear or damage.

• Discontinuing use of any product that appears damaged, defective or unsafe.

Dakotas Western Tack is not responsible for damage resulting from incorrect fitting, misuse, neglect, improper care, modification or use outside the product's intended purpose, subject always to rights that cannot legally be excluded.

All content on the Dakotas Western Tack website, including photographs, logos, graphics, product descriptions, text, designs and branding, belongs to or is used by Dakotas Western Tack with appropriate permission.

You may not reproduce, copy, modify, distribute or commercially use our content without our written permission.
