It has been enjoyed traditionally by people and animals for generations, and many horse owners choose to add it to their horses’ daily feed as a natural herbal topper. We’ve been really impressed with Rooibos as a simple, natural addition to the horse’s daily feed. Our horses enjoy the taste, and we love that it’s caffeine-free, naturally rich in antioxidants and grown right here in South Africa.

We’ve found it to be a great addition for horses of all ages, particularly when you want something gentle and natural to add to their feed. It can also be a great option for horses that tend to be a little more sensitive or unsettled when travelling or competing.

And the coat? Let’s just say we’ve noticed some very happy, shiny horses! ✨🐴

The biggest test, though, is whether the horses approve — and judging by how eagerly they tuck into their feed when Rooibos is added, they definitely do!

Rooibos can be added directly to your horse’s normal feed as a topper.

You can also brew it in warm water, allow it to cool, and pour it over pellets or hay. It can make a refreshing treat on hot days or be offered before travel.
